Research Survey for the
International Sexuality Description Project 2 (ISDP - 2)

Are you age of 18 or older?

If so, we would very much appreciate your participation in this study!

About the Study:

This international research study is being conducted in over 60 countries around the world.   The purpose of the study is to assess the relationship between personality and sexuality, as well as to assess sex differences in mating preferences and behavior.

The research project is being led by Dr. David Schmitt, Psychology Department, Bradley University, Peoria, IL., as well as a host of collaborators at universities around the world.  This online survey  is being administered by Dr. Michael Mills,  Psychology Department ,  Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.

To participate, you  will fill out a series of online surveys.  It should take about 30 - 45 minutes to complete the surveys.

Note that you will not be given any feedback regarding your answers to the questions, so the results of the study won't provide any immediate tangible benefit to you as a participant.  However, as noted above, your participation in this study may help research scientists discover how personality affects sexuality and mating preferences.  If you wish, at the end of the survey, you may request that a summary of the aggregated, statistical findings to be emailed to you when the research is completed.

There are no right or wrong answers, and we encourage you to not to think about the questions too long. Usually the first thing you think of is the best answer for you.   After you are finished with the survey, it is important that you shut down your web browser so that your responses won't be accessible by anyone else who presses the "Back" button of your browser.

The Study Is Voluntary and Confidential Participation in this study is strictly voluntary. You may choose not to answer any of the  questions, and you are free to discontinue at any time. Some of the questions are of a personal nature.  You will not be asked to give your name. There are no right or wrong answers, and we encourage you to not to think about the questions too long. Password:  There are several parts to the survey.   So that we can match together your responses to each part, you will be asked to enter the same password for each part of the survey.  The password  might be the name of a pet, a postal code, a vacation spot, etc.  It should be a continuous series of letters and/or numbers, with no spaces.  (However, please do not use the word "password" as your password!)

If you are currently in a relationship, we would appreciate it if both you and your partner completed the survey.
So that we can match together the responses of both partners for data analysis,  both partners should use the same password for all parts of the survey.  If your partner has not yet completed the survey, please think of a password that both you and your partner can easily remember.  Write down the password and give it to your partner before they complete the survey.
If your partner has already completed the survey, please ask him or her for the password that he or she used.   Both you and your partner should enter the same password for each survey section.  It is also important that you complete your questionnaires alone and in private without consulting with your partner.
